We are working sustainably towards a hunger-free world, going beyond food aid, by providing the community with an easy to use mobile-friendly website. The Cancel Hunger site maps out locations of feeding programs and alerts local organizations to areas in the county that are in need of food options.

The Cancel Hunger site maps out locations of feeding programs and alerts local organizations to areas in the county that are in need of food options. A 2020 report by the City of Columbia Food Policy Committee, stated “65,000+ Richland County residents are food insecure”.
There are many organizations that offer food banks, community fridges, food closets, and local feeding programs, but there is no updated one-stop resource for Richland County residents to find out what food services are close to where they live. The Cancel Hunger project will address this by developing an easy to use mobile-friendly website that maps out locations of feeding programs and alerts local organizations to areas in the county that are in need of food options.
